Level 4 Sports Professional Apprenticeship

As our business keeps growing, we are looking for highly ambitious and professional people to join our growing delivery team. This role is suited for people who want to enter the sports coaching world or people who already have experience and want to formalise their training and progress.

Use sports Knowledge and skills to create and deliver coaching programmes.

This course is suitable for college and sixth form leavers. Equivalent to higher national certificate (HNC). Course duration typically is 12-18 months. Apprenticeship category. Health and Science.

We have 4 pathways within this standard.

PE and school Sport - for those who want to make a different in a primary setting
Gymnastics - For those who want to work at one of our gymnastics clubs
Swimming - For those who want to work at one of our swimming programmes
Community Sport Development - For those who want to use Sport as a vehicle to make social change.

This is a full time On the Job Apprenticeship which is paid, with 80% of time dedicated to practical delivery and 20% Off the Job Training-support by a full time Tutor, with regular face to face training, tutorials, lectures and more. The course covers a wide range of deliverables including planning, reflection, practical delivery, safeguarding, anatomy and phsyiology along with much more!

Recruitment Process

Application

A CV and Covering Letter, clearly stating why you are best person for this role to recruitment@prosports-solutions.co.uk

Interview Stage

If selected for this phase we will book an interview at one of our offices. This interview will consist of a panel interview, a presentation from you and a chance to ask questions about the role.

The presentation will need to be on one of the 4 topics

“Changes you would make to primary school PE”
”How you would change gymnastics clubs within a community setting”
”How would you increase the numbers of people who could safely swim”
”How I would use sport to create social change in my community”

Practical

You will be delivering a practical coaching session to a group of young adults on the recruitment day. You will need to plan a 30-minute progression session on whichever sport you want. The venue has a sports hall, a gymnastics club a playing field and a playground.

You will need to send you session plan across to us by the 20th November at 5pm latest, via the email below.
